wow.. it's been soooooooooo long since i last blogged... sooooooo much has happened in this week and a half! lets see... NATIONALS ROCKED! we kicked ass this year! woo woo... 11th in the western United States! ok... hmmmmmm... what else went down this week? ah... VALEDICTORIAN!!! yay! it's me! i totally thought i sucked too... i stopped in an awkward spot during my speech and i made that half oops-half "uh what just happened" face... oh well... I GOT IT! sucks though how some girls (ignorant girls) got all bitchy and rude about it cuz their friend didn't get it... *Can you say JEALOUS!?!*... it's incredible just how catty girls can get... especially the ones who aren't directly involved but feel the need to put their absolutely unnecessary 2 cents in... i mean... the nominee that was their friend was perfectly nice and gracious about it... but wow... her friends.. that's another story!
DLS Kairos left on Tuesday... and they're coming back tonight!!!! i hope it's been good for them all... i'm kinda curious to see what theirs is all about... i'm sure there are similarities but somehow i don't see these guys getting all emotional and retreating back to their rooms every breaktime for a heart-to-heart... shoutouts to phil and adam and peter (LEADERS ROCK!)... i wonder how their talks went? especially phil's after i nagged him for about a week to start writing his talk when it was just a week away! "if you didn't get anything out of this retreat, YOU HAVE NO SOUL!!!!" <-- did he really say that?
Physics test on thursday wasn't so bad.. i think i might have gotten 3 APs!!!!! thank god!!!! i need at least a B+... or ima catch hell from my parents... AGAIN!
last... and certainly not least... I'M GOING TO JUNIOR PROM!!!! ya i know... rita's a senior... how'd that happen? *clearing my throating* *ahem* *ahem* well... on wednesday afternoon i got home around 4:30 after finishing up some physics hw afterschool with lauren and jen and niki and brian and tom and jamie *the honorary AP Physics student* lol... and when i get home i have an interesting conversation with my mom
Mom: "Who's Jeff?"
Me: "Jeff?"
Mom: "A Jeff from De La Salle called... from your math class?"
Me: "Oh... Jeff... Taylor? oh right. Why'd he call?"
Mom: "I don't know. He said he'd call back around 4:30."
Me: "Ok."
and then she went on to tell me that his mom called too (cuz she works at the Development Office at school and was asking about PIP hours)... it seemed kinda weird how they both called... anyway at around 5 my mom says to me that Mrs. Taylor congratulated me on Valedictorian and then started to ask some questions... "Is she going to Junior Prom?" "Does she have a boyfriend?"... lol... and then Jeff called back... and he asked me to prom... yay! nothing serious.. just for fun he said... i dunno what happened earlier but he somehow had an extra ticket (idk if he already had a date and something came up or what)... so i said "sure"... and we talked a lil at school yesterday... still have no idea what his group's plans are... got a dress though... it's waaaaaaayyyy pretty! i'm out $180... not cash... credit... but still... waaaaaaaaayyy expensive... here's what it kinda looks like  my dress is the same color with the asymmetrical lines going both ways so it criss-crosses in the front with the layering... and it has straps too cuz my mom would flip if i wore strapless... oh... here's the back too  still dunno what i'm doing about my hair or makeup but that can wait till tomorrow i suppose... i'm excited... it should be fun... he's a pretty cool guy... smart too... kinda quiet... but that's probably cuz i don't know him all that well...
sooooooo... what else... ah... GIRLS KAIROS!!!! less than a week to go... ahhhhhhhhhh... i think we'll be alright though... trying not to stress... but yeah.. there's a lot going on... still haven't finished all my "prayers" yet... but i've got till wednesday...
oh and senior ball... i have 11 days to figure out tables... tickets... and get a DATE!!!! time's going by so fast... |
